Manhattan Architecture Cruise
Skyscraper enthusiasts, you're in luck! On this Manhattan architecture cruise, you'll learn all about the unique layout of the Big Apple. You'll see buildings, bridges, and monuments full of history.
At the scheduled time, we'll meet at Chelsea Piers Pier 62. Once there, we'll board an elegant 1920's style boat that will take us to see the architectural landmarks of New York City from the water.
During the tour, we'll sail along the Hudson, East, and Harlem Rivers, taking in some of Manhattan's most iconic skyscrapers, such as the classic Chrysler and Woolworth, or the new World Trade Center buildings. We'll also admire the buildings of award-winning architects such as Frank Gehry, Oscar Niemeyer, Tschumi, Sert, and Renzo Piano.
Also, throughout the cruise, you'll have the chance to listen to the cruise guides, who are members of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). They will share with you the most unusual facts about Manhattan's buildings.
On the Manhattan architecture cruise, we'll sail under the island's 18 bridges, including New York's engineering masterpieces such as the Brooklyn Bridge, the George Washington Bridge, and the swing bridges over the Harlem River.
Lastly, after a 3-hour boat tour of the urban history of the Big Apple, we'll arrive back at the departure pier.
