Set off on a full-day trip from New York City by bus to the fascinating Niagara Falls and be blown away by the power of the three waterfalls situated on the border between Canada and the United States.
Begin your day by boarding a comfortable air-conditioned coach from Times Square and sit back and enjoy the septentrional landscape of North America while you head towards the Canada-United States border.
Once you get to the Great Lakes at around 11am, you’ll be led by your professional English-speaking guide on a visit of the Niagara Falls. Gaze at the one of the most famous waterfalls in the world from several observation decks, learn about the geological origin of this natural phenomenon, find out what movies have been filmed here and how high the falls stand, among many other interesting facts while you enjoy your guided tour.
Cross the border into Canada and enjoy a delicious buffet (with one drink included) at the Sheraton Niagara Fallsview Hotel. After lunch, head back to New York. The bus will drop you off at the city center at around 10pm.
You will only cross to the Canadian side in winter. From the 18 May until the 15 October, you will only visit the American side of Niagara Falls. The exact dates can vary depending on the conditions of the river and the falls.
Depending on availability, the buffet lunch might be at another restaurant next to the Niagara Falls. During the months when the tour does not cross to the Canadian border, guests will have lunch at the Niagara Resort & Casino.
The tour of the Canadian side takes approximately 3 hours (including the time to cross the Canadian border). If you don't have a visa for Canada, you'll spend that time visiting the American side at your own leisure.
If you want to enjoy other activities in Niagara Falls, you can also book an activity that includes optional activities:
- Between 18 May and 15 October, you can take a cruise on the “Maid of Mist”, which will take you to the base of the Falls. Being so close to the waterfalls is especially refreshing during summer.
- Between 16 October and 17 May, the “Maid of Mist” does not operate, so you will be taken on a thrilling walk behind the Falls, called “Journey Behind the Falls” on the Canadian side. The walk takes 90 minutes.
All these optional activities are subject to the current weather conditions.
Visa for Canada
Visitors from certain countries may require a visa to enter Canada. If you are a British or Irish citizen, you don’t need a visa, but you'll need to show your passport. Even if you don't need to apply for a visa, you need to apply for an eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization) which takes several days to validate.
