Manhattan Speakeasies Tour
Murder scenes, criminal activity and thrilling stories... On this tour through the speakeasies of Manhattan, we'll discover a new side of New York.
Manhattan Speakeasies Tour
At the appointed time we'll start this Manhattan speakeasy tour in front of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, in the heart of the Big Apple.
During the walking tour, we'll visit a total of 3 New York bars. All these bars were very famous but underground during the crisis caused by the law prohibiting the sale and consumption of alcohol. However, they also managed to cleverly get around this restrictive rule. But how? We'll soon find out!
The first location is one of the last speakeasies in New York in the 1920s. We'll tell you the story of the most famous bootleggers and gangsters of the time. What mysteries await us?
At our second location, we'll learn about how the sale of alcohol was prohibited in the United States between 1920 and 1933. But of course, we can't miss out on a quick history lesson all about the Gilded Age that came before, when the country lived through its greatest economic, industrial and demographic expansion.
To complete our journey through time, we'll take you to one of the most exclusive bars in New York, where we'll explain the reason for the sudden disappearance of Prohibition.
After learning all about Manhattan's speakeasies, we'll end the tour with a farewell at the last bar. See you next time!
